At Alfa Da Childcare, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children. Our unique programs incorporate a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning.

The whole child

The goal of Alfa Da Childcare is to provide for the total developmental needs of children, understanding that they will be in care most of their waking hours. We plan by enriching the areas of cognitive, social, emotional, creative, perceptual motor skills and development.

Explore through doing

We believe children can explore their environment through structured activities for learning; such as arts & crafts, cooking, identifying and writing letters, learning games and movement.

Curiosity that lasts

It is hoped that each child will develop the flexibility they need to cope with our ever-changing world and a healthy curiosity that will impel them to explore the world on their own.

Outdoors & the living world

Outdoor activities include water play, gardening, large motor games. We teach about the environment with recycling, composting, gardening and discovery of insects in our yard.

Learning beyond the yard

Learning experiences are enhanced by planned field trips.

Our program is one of freedom within structure, allowing lots of space for children to develop individually.
